It is my mission to provide those suffering from chronic physical pain and the affects of stress, the many benefits that professional massage therapy has to offer. Massage therapists use visual, kinesthetic, and palpatory skills to assess the body, and may evaluate the client’s condition to the extent of determining whether massage is indicated or contraindicated. Massage is the application of a system of structured touch which includes holding, pressure, positioning, or causing movement, by manual means, for the purpose of promoting, maintaining, and restoring the health and well-being of the client. Massage is designed to promote general relaxation, improve movement, relieve somatic and muscular pain or dysfunction, stress and muscle tension, and provide for general health enhancement and the organization, balance, and integration of the body.
Massage is not a magic cure but a simple, yet highly effective tool that should be used to maintain good health. My goal is to work with you, the client, to achieve an improved sense of well being and balance.
I truly believe that by incorporating massage therapy into your health maintenance routine, you are greatly decreasing the likelihood of experiencing certain illness and pain. Also, it has become clear that daily stresses can have debilitating affects on both our bodies and minds. Massage is a healthful, highly effective way to keep these problems at bay.
